My busking 12 volt set up

Postby Al » Sat Aug 01, 2009 12:31 pm

I am a busker using an ipod with backing tracks recorded with Ableton and Band in a Box. I use 2 x 12 volt power supply packs. The first one is used to power a small 250 volt invertor which runs the 14 volts AC required for the Roland GR33. The other 12 volt power supply is for pre-amplification and effects. ( I did try using just one power supply but found the invertor in the circuit made my amp hum!) I use two 12 volt to 9 volt regulated power supply/droppers running from the second power pack. The first feeds the 9 volt DC Boss ME50, and the other the 9 volt Roland micro cube, which I use as a pre amp. The Alesis Transactive amp with ipod dock has it's own internal rechargable battery. I also use a passive foot Volume pedal for the output of the GR33.
