Costas,

Thanks for your hard work, I will give it a try. If I understand you correctly it is possible to determine which strings should be sent to the instrument this way. However, what is I want to split my bass up in two part each with a different instrument. Do need to create 12 midi tracks and 2 HTM1 tracks?

Yes, you would need 12 tracks and 2 HMT1's.

However, if all you want to do is have different strings playing 2 different instruments in Live, then you could probably do it without using HMT1 - just set up the 6 midi channels and route each one to the instrument you want. In most sequencers HMT1 would be helpful in this case because most sequencers allow a single track to pass all midi channels. But with Live you have to have 6 tracks to get all the channels separately, so you can use these individual tracks to do the routing.

I have been playing with HMT1 in SONAR5. To get it to work you need the updated version:
http://evenharmonic.com/hmt1_win_1001.zip

Also you need to right click on HMT1 in the synth rack and enable MIDI output.

Finally you must add an audio track and set its input the HMT1 Primary Out (otherwise SONAR will not send MIDI to HMT1).

Is anyone using HMT1 in FL Studio or Reaper and got it working?
So far no success for me. Watched part of the video again but still no success.

I use HMT1 in Reaper all the time, what bit are you having problems with? Does reaper list it in the plugins? Can you see it once you've inserted it? Do the lights flash?

Hi Costas. I got it to work. I changed input for HMT1 from channel 1 to All.
At first it still didn't work, but I think it may be that Sakura vsti doesn't do pitchbend. The FL native Sakura does pitchbend in FL.
Anyway, I loaded int String Studio and it works great. Pretty much like GTak in a way.
Thanks for your response.
